Before the Philippine Show Business turned into a huge reality show, most of the celebrities rose to popularity by only using their bloodline as claim to fame. Nowadays, the stars that we see are mostly products of star searches, talent competitions, and even reality shows. But this has not always been the case.
Stars used to be discovered through their immediate family members. Such is the case of Vina Morales and Shaina Magdayao, the Padilla brothers, Sharon and her daughter KC Concepcion, and a lot more. While there are currently more ways than one to scout for television talents, there are still some who rise to fame using their familial connections.
Take the case of Yanni Bunagan for example. Yanni is the daughter of the ever-talented Michael V, or who we commonly know as Bitoy. And while Bitoy’s wit and talent for impersonation is no longer new to us, we found out later in his career that he is also a visual artist. A true performer at heart, and a brilliant worker on the canvass, he seems to have passed on this artistic flair to his daughter, Yanni.
We’ve only seen Yanni as a kid when Michael V would take her with him on occasional guestings and interviews. But little do we know that this kid lights up like a firecracker, much similar to his dad.
In a recent video she posted on her Instagram, Yanni Bunagan wowed the netizens with her skill in music. Covering a song by whom she referred to as Doddle Oddle entitled Why Would You Be So Kind, the young lady showcased her crystal clear singing voice and talent in playing the ukulele.
