What do you think happened to this lifeless anaconda?

Cannibalism usually only happens in the jungle whenever there is a scarcity of food. Despite some people being completely disgusted by the concept, it is still prevalent today in order for some animals to sustain life, especially for wild animals living in the jungle. Based on actual footage, a group of fishermen spotted a seemingly lifeless Anaconda lying near the riverbanks in the western Amazon rainforest. Curious about what happened to the gigantic snake, they immediately took the dead reptile on the boat. Soon as they reached the town, the investigation about the curious case of the lifeless anaconda began.

Upon slicing up the swollen body of the cold-blooded creature, another lifeless anaconda came out like a Russian nesting doll. The fishermen were immediately fascinated by their rare discovery, leading them to dig deeper into the story behind it.

In case you are not aware, anacondas were not considered as territorial animals because anacondas move from place to place from time to time in search of prey. Still puzzled by what they saw, the fishermen completely removed the ingested anaconda to gather more clues. However, they found nothing inside the stomach of the second massive serpent.

To further explain this cannibalism, there are two possible alternative stories.

1. Since the fishermen discovered that there were no traces of food inside the stomach of the anaconda that was eaten, it is safe to say that the anaconda might be starving for a very long time. Needless to say, the starving anaconda seized the opportunity in order to live.

2. Another alternative explanation would suggest that the two anacondas just finished mating. As a natural response, the female anaconda usually eats the male anaconda after breeding.
