Comedian Jobert Austria has a tale similar to Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. Their lives, at one point, were overtaken by illegal substances. The fame and the money offered by the limelight led them to dangerous paths, however, they were fortunate enough to have strong women by their side.
In his recent guest appearance on “Gandang Gabi Vice,” Jobert Austria became emotional as he talked about his wife, Chad. He was very grateful that the love of his life refused to leave him during his darkest days.
If you can recall, the “Banana Sundae” star tried to take his own life by jumping off a hotel roof. IN a previous interview with PEP, Jobert recalled this horrifying moment.
“Galing sa walang-wala ‘tapos biglang nagkaroon… nagkapera ka, masarap ang buhay, minsan napapariwara ka. Napupunta ka sa ibang barkada, e. Sumasama ka sa mali, kaya ayun, mali nga ako.”
“Totoo po yun… tatalon ako ng building, di ba? Pagkatapos nun, nag-rehab ako, di ba? Diretso ako sa rehab, paglabas ko ayun, nagbago na.”
Who would’ve thought that his wife would never quit on him? This is why when Vice Ganda asked him to rate his attractiveness, Jobert only gave himself a 5. What followed was a touching message about how having his wife back was enough for him.
“Kuntento na ako na napasagot ko uli yung asawa ko. Gwapo na ako nun. Totoo naman di ba? Lahat naman ng mga lalaki na napatunayan niyo na mahal kayo ng mga girlfriend at asawa niyo, hindi kayo iniwan matutuwa kayo. Gwapo kayo nun.”

When asked how much Jobert loves his wife, this is what he had to say:
“Mahal na mahal ko. Mahal ko si Chad sobra… kaya kong mamatay para sa kanya. Ganun ko siya kamahal, kasi sinakripisyo niya rin yung buhay niya sa akin e. Sa mga kapatid niya, pinagtatakpan ka niya, pinagtatanggol ka niya kahit na alam niya na ganun ka. Hindi niya ako kinahiya, tapos bumalik siya sa akin.”
