It appears as though the time that Kylie Padilla spent away from the limelight has provided a different perspective on her career path.
Talking to GMA, she talked candidly about what it means for her to be an actor.
“Siguro I think I took advantage of what it really means to have the opportunity to be a performer. I grew into it, e, so I don’t know like what it really means that people look up to you, people watch you. Ngayon mas naa-appreciate ko na. Pag may work na ako, I see the difference now.”
Kylie Padilla made her showbiz comeback on the Kapuso show “The Cure” and it appears that her hiatus has reinvigorated how she treats her craft.
“[Dati iniisip ko] ‘gusto ko na umuwi, pagod na ako.’ [Ngayon], it’s more like, ‘Okay the people here are more tired than I am. Kailangan galingan natin para makauwi na rin sila.’ Parang more on ganun na kasi ngayon naiintindihan ko na yung aspect na may mga anak din sila, di ba. It’s more about them na.”
Kylie Padilla also shared that she has become more discerning of the roles that she is offered, owing her newfound critical approach to her beloved son, Baby Alas.
“I have to know how to make decisions. So kasama yun, yung career ko. I am more hands-on with what I want to do, what kind of roles I want to take. Ayaw ko naman i-restrict masyado pero sana yung mga roles na tatanggapin ko ngayon is yun nga pag napanood ni Alas, magiging proud siya na this is the ideal of a woman. You have to learn how to see that they’re strong.”
