Take a look at the life of Junell Hernando, a.k.a. Sambag from “Magic Kingdom”

Do you remember Sambag from the hit films “Magic Kingdom” and “Magic Temple?” Brought to life by Junell Hernando, Sambag was one of the three main characters of the fantasy film franchise. After conquering evil (in the films, obviously), Sambag – or rather, the actor portraying him – left the limelight to pursue a private life.

From what we can see in the life of the former child star who portrayed the role of Sambag, leaving the limelight behind proved to be an excellent decision. His happiness is apparent in every single photo he posts. However, just like any other former celebrity, speculations of a showbiz return aren’t far behind.

In May of last year, the three former child stars who made up the protagonists of “Magic Temple” and “Magic Kingdom” had themselves a reunion. Jubal, Omar, and Sambag – portrayed by Jason Salcedo, Marc Solis, and Junell Hernando, respectively – got together. The three documented their reunion on social media.

Solis, still an actor to this day, wrote:
“May mga nagbalik ng pinas! si Jubal and Sambag. Nagkasama sama ulit kami sa isang litrato. Its awesome to be with you guys again. Love you brothers.”

Hernando and Salcedo both live abroad while Solis takes residence in the country. It’s certainly nice to see old friends and former colleagues reunite even for a little while. One wonders, is it time for a “Magic Temple / Magic Kingdom” remake? If so, could the three original child warriors make an appearance?
