After being silent for more than eight months regarding her rumored beau Paul Salas and Daniel Padilla’s Twitter beef in August of 2017, Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial put the bad blood rumors involving KathNiel to bed.
In an interview with PUSH, Barbie said:
“Hindi po kasi ako kasali dun. I mean kung nagkaproblem man sila, hindi po ako kasali at hindi po ako sinali ng KathNiel.”
The August Twitter beef between Paul Salas and Daniel Padilla started after the former made a nasty remark on the latter’s heated basketball altercation with JC Santos during a Star Magic basketball game. This Twitter fight dragged fans of both parties to throw mud at each other.
Weirdly enough, just a few days after the Paul-Daniel issue, Barbie’s character in “La Luna Sangre” a show top-billed by the KathNiel love team — was written off, causing Barbie to suddenly exit the show.
This prompted some of her fans to think that the love team was somehow responsible for Barbie’s untimely exit from the show. However, Barbie clarified and said, “Hindi po. Kailangan na lang talagang patayin ang character…”

Although Barbie Imperial has admitted to remaining on Paul Salas’ side during the entire debacle, she pointed out that it was only because she knows Paul personally.
“Oo naman. Kasi kilala ko naman si Paul as a person.”
Barbie also clarified that even though she was in favor of Paul on the issue, Kathryn and Daniel have always treated her well on the set of “La Luna Sangre.”
“Si DJ, si Kath never po nilang pinaramdam na may nangyaring ganun… Sobrang okay po kami ng KathNiel. Kasi sa set nga po naglalaro pa kami ng Mobile Legends, kami-kami. So okay po. Super okay.”
Barbie Imperial is now set to star on her own TV show opposite JM De Guzman.
