Bianca Manalo may have survived the life-threatening boat accident that transpired last March 29, but it did not save her from emotional distress. Even though she is still on her quest of overcoming her anxiety, Bianca revealed that she is back to work as a judge for this year’s Mr. and Miss Hannah’s World Tourism Philippines.
In a recent interview with PUSH, Bianca confirmed that she’s back to working again.
“Yes I’m back, working, alive and kicking, second life ko na ito, so I make the most out of it.”
The actress had no qualms about admitting that the accident, which almost took her life, greatly caused her trauma. The good thing is, she consults a psychologist to help her overcome her trauma.
“I’m seeking help from my psychologist, the last time I had a two-hour session with her and sometimes sinasabi naman niya na hindi talaga madali. I texted her pag may moment ako nagkakaroon ako ng anxiety attacks, I text her randomly na ‘Doc, this what I am feeling right now’”
The accident still haunts the actress, who admitted that she experiences nightmares which always involve an ocean every night.
“Everyday when I wake up in the morning I still have nightmares naiisip ko pa rin nasa dagat ako. Nung isang araw, ang panaginip ko nasa dagat ako hinihila ako ng whale. Kaninang umaga yung dream ko nalulunod ako sa dagat so lahat dagat related pa rin.”
Despite her struggles to overcome her anxiety, Bianca, just like a beauty queen that she is, remained optimistic and hopeful that one day, she will be able to surpass her problems.
“I know one day at a time this shall pass. Ito yung mga ganitong ganap sa beauty pageant, normal, balik sa dati.”
