Every artist from the showbiz world is aware that their career is fleeting and temporary. Belonging in an industry that heavily relies in physical attractiveness and talent, veterans are assured that younger stars might take their place some day. Actress Kim Chiu expressed her worries over this possibility when she attended the press conference for her upcoming movie.
For Kim, it wouldn’t matter if she was paired with a new love team partner or if the management decides to make her a solo act. As long as projects keep coming in, she would be fine. Kim doesn’t take the competition between her fellow actors lightly and shared that there’s no time to be picky with roles.
So be thankful and be happy sa lahat kasi hindi lahat [nabibigyan].”
Kim said that in order to become relevant, artists have to keep working on themselves, to continue churning out newer and better styles of acting.
Some might be surprised that someone as famous as Kim Chiu would be worried about losing a job. But for her, the nervousness and the fear will always be present in the hearts of celebrities. New talents keep coming in and if they don’t become serious, being replaced is not a far-fetched idea.
“Kasali yun bilang tao, yung kaba. Kami din, as an actor or actress, lagi may kaba sa projects namin.”
